DATTA Vic Weekly Round-up | 15 May 2026

Design & Technologies Week 2026 is here!

Design & Technologies Week 2026 kicks off on Monday 18th May.

Schools throughout Victoria are taking part to raise awareness of our amazing learning area in their wider communities.

We're so excited that this year, D&T Week is part of the Melbourne Design Week program! It's a powerful reminder of the vital role D&T teachers have in developing the creative innovators of the future.

So how are you celebrating? We have everything you need to take part below;

Our Design & Technologies Week website is packed with ideas to help you take part - from education resources, design-themed activities, exhibitions and events - all perfect to get your students engaged.

ACCESS HERE

We have a range of printable posters that you can display throughout your school.  These are a great way to make your school leadership, colleagues and students  notice the great things happening in your faculty.

There's a Design the World you Want student challenge, with five great activities to get your classes engaged in speculative design - from wearable technologies to lunar living.

And we have a special treat for our members - a FREE online presentation exploring the circular economy and regenerative design with Isabella Raco on Tuesday 19 May from 4pm - 5pm.

And PLEASE don't forget to register if you're taking part - it's amazing to see everything that's happening throughout the state and it helps us advocate on behalf of our learning area by showing how engaging and progressive our subject really is.
