This award recognises there are a great number of people - technicians, volunteers, support staff, students and school management - who contribute to the teaching of Design & Technologies in our schools.

We also know some teachers get involved in projects out with their own schools that celebrate Design & Technologies in the wider community. 

These people make outstanding contributions to the learning area, and we are delighted to celebrate them with this award.

Criteria

• The ability to engage students/teachers/community members in Design & Technologies education
• A sound commitment to excellence in the teaching of the Technologies curriculum
• Positive contribution to a Technologies team (school or community)
• And also at least one of the following:
• Involvement in setting up or assisting in new programs
• Promoting the Technologies area in the wider community
• Creative approach to technologies teaching and curriculum planning
• Effective use of a range of technologies in the classroom

The applicant/nominee must be a DATTA Vic member either individually or through their school.
